The Our Lady of Light Symphonic Band will be performing at the Day of Portugal Fall River 2026!
The 2026 Day of Portugal celebration in Fall River, MA, will be held over the weekend of June 12th–14th, 2026, featuring a packed lineup of live music, cultural performances, traditional food, and a flag-raising ceremony at the Portas Da Cidade (Gates of the City).
The free weekend event celebrates Portuguese culture with acts like José Malhoa, David Carreira and the Our Lady of Light Symphonic Band.

Our Musical Journey
The Our Lady of Light Symphonic Band, founded by Portuguese immigrants in 1969 in the Fall River, MA, area, is a renowned community ensemble known for prestigious performances, including the Kennedy Center and Boston Symphony Hall, and winning awards, with current director Scott P. Lopes leading its continued success in celebrating Portuguese heritage and bringing high-quality music to North America and beyond.
