Our Lady of Light Symphonic Band Hall
Maestro Manuel Canito, one of the original founders of the Our Lady of Light Symphonic Band, began his conducting career in Sao Miguel, Azores.
Upon relocating to the United States, he became the Conductor/Musical Director of the Our Lady of Light Band in 1969.
He has composed 100's of marches and classical pieces of music, earning him recognition amongst the Portuguese Community as the "John Phillip Souza" of our our culture!
